Educational/Professional Background
Originally interested in psychotherapeutic techniques as a means of transforming your life, Jaime earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Maryland, graduating with top honors. While immersed in the study of Western psychology, she was first introduced to acupuncture as an alternative method to treating psycho-emotional disorders.
With a newfound interest in Chinese medical philosophies, Jaime embraced the synthesis of the mind, body, and spirit. She continued her education at the highly regarded Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, where she received her Masters in Traditional Oriental Medicine.
After becoming licensed as an acupuncturist and Chinese medical herbalist in the state of California, Jaime founded Balance and Blossom Acupuncture. As an acupuncturist, she developed a special gift for treating women’s emotional disorders by integrating lifestyle counseling into her practice.
She began intuitive and meditative studies, and shared with her patients the tools to empower themselves. She became a lecturer and facilitator of workshops at women’s retreats. During that same time, she began using her extensive knowledge of Traditional Oriental Medicine to teach others; she was offered a position teaching courses at her Alma Mater. Her involvement with the college as a member of the faculty eventually led to a full time position as their Student Advisor.
Whether she was supporting her patients on their path to optimal health and well-being, or guiding students on their educational and career path, Jaime has always been enthusiastic about helping others reach their highest potential.
